it's Saturday!

Bismillaah


Alhamdulillaah, it was a happy day. Lots of rain too, was pouring down heavily with mercy from Allah, mashaAllaah.

Adam got a new haircut today! He's been asking abah to take him to the barber since last few weeks LOL. Today, abah took him along as abah was getting a haircut too.

After Zuhr, we went out with the intention of going to a wedding reception. Syurgawan love kenduri kahwin so much! Unfortunately, we changed the plan after the rain started just as we left the house. It was so heavy that the sky looked very pale and driving visibility was very limited. We guessed that the traffic on the highway should be bad too as there were lots of cars on the road today. (later on we discovered that there was a big perhimpunan rakyat at Seremban! uhuhuhuh...sure thousands of people were there, and just imagine how was the traffic like).

We made a U turn and decided that we'd just have lunch somewhere in Bangi. Initially we were heading towards Sate Samuri, but we saw Kedai Makan Upin Ipin. Adam was very excited and happy of course! He's been wanting to try the restaurant ever since he saw one at Gombak(however the restaurant was closed when we went there). uhuhu...we didnt know that Bangi already has one.

Alhamdulillaah, there was a parking lot right beside the restaurant side entrance, so we managed to get in without having to run in the rain. Wohoo...lots of children inside! what to expect kan? it's Upin & Ipin after all. Syurgawan sudah tak sabar-sabar to explore the restaurant (ada merchandise on sale near the cashier yer LOL. Luckily, abah managed to say NO with much diplomacy)

The menu reflects the Upin & Ipin 'kampung' style with menu Opah, kak Ros, Ma'il, etc :) sure ayam goreng was on the menu!(tapi takde 2 seringgit lorr). Ada set nasi dengan ikan kembung, sambal belacan, nasi lemak, mee bihun, laksa, hailam, etc. Rasa pun alHamdulillaah, not bad. A bit pricey on the price, but still reasonable and cheaper than Arab or Chinese Muslim restaurants or Secret Recipe or San Frans or etc. We didnt know lots of good restaurants to go since we are not the type yang suka mencuba ke sana ke mari..walHamdulillaah.

After lunch, we went back home since it was almost Asar and the weather was still gloomy. The rain berenti sekejap before it came back. Later in the evening, it was reported that some parts of Bangi were flooded!

At Shell Jalan Reko(right before the traffic light, towards Kajang & Bandar Baru Bangi), at UKM comuter station, at the T-junction between Jalan Desa and Jalan KWSP towards Taman Uni Jalan Cerdik, and before the entrance to Taman Uni Jalan Pintar.

 

Alhamdulillaah all of us stayed at home last night, and abah just attended a kenduri doa selamat here at our neighborhood and his coaching session was canceled. We were selamat daripada mengharung banjir.
